Ok Moguls I’m over the shellacking that my Green Bay Packers caught from those pesky Seattle Seahawks. I was hurt, but I will make it through the darkness. Because what a player once told me was that “it is darkest before the dawn!” So in my darkest hour, I swear the sun must be coming up for us in Title Town. Sounds optimistic, doesn’t it?
Well somewhere in the midst of pisstivity as Russell Wilson was getting interviewed, I heard him say something to the extent of,
“That’s God setting it up, to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special,” he said, alone for a moment in the locker room before heading out for the night. “I’ve been through a lot in life, and had some ups and downs. It’s what’s led me to this day.”
I immediately looked at the TV crossed eyed, like word…… God really cares about a NFL football game? Do you really think that out of all things to intervene in The Most High would feel the need to set it up so that Russell Wilson will look special? What about homelessness? What about people dying of cancer? What about the price of milk? God doesn’t care about those things?
I do believe in giving all praises to God. When you have a great game, or sell a million copies of “Shake It Baby Shake It”, or move up to fries, give thanks to God, your mom, and your cousin Dae-Dae. But let’s not get it misconstrued that God, Allah, Jehovah, etc. really cares that you won the pie eating contest. God has more important things to utilize his will in.
