Mogul Street Style: A Day in Soho, NYC
Written by Urban Mogul Life on August 21, 2011
so today i had to make a run into the city, soho to be exact, to take a pair of shoes to a luxury consignment store i recently discovered online. for all you she-moguls out there a stop by “a second chance” is a must if you happen to be in new york.
“a second chance” is a designer resale boutique specializing in the ultra hot & luxurious used designer fashions and accessories. they buy & consign and its located at 155 prince street. now since i was in soho, i decided i may as well browse around a bit and see what caught my eye. first up was the windows of club monaco on prince street…
then i remembered that there was pinkberry up the street and decided to get yogurt and while i was on my way i stumbled upon this young lady in this cute denim dress.
i think this dress is really sweet and what is a little hard to tell by the picture is that the left sleeve of the dress is cream jersey cotton. it was really cute. the shoes went perfectly and the yellow belt adds just enough contrast.
so i spent several hours walking around soho and just as i was about to leave i received a call from my bff, who happens to be the store manager of a nordstrom store, telling me that nordstrom just opened their new not-for-profit store, “treasure & bond,” just the day before. so OF COURSE the style & shopping blogger in me couldn’t pass that up & i headed in that direction. while doing so i saw this beauty…
so nordstrom decided to do something new in mixing retail and philanthropy by opening “treasure & bond.” aside from operating expenses, all of the profits of the store go to non-profits dedicated to helping children in new york. how nice is that?
the store is located at 360 west broadway.
after leaving the store i was ready to head back to the good ‘ol bk and just when i thought my journey was done, i looked up and the picture was so perfect-i had to take it…
the stylish lady with the afro said she was just sitting ‘cuz she was too tired to move…& i felt her ‘cuz after all the walking i did-i couldn’t wait to sit myself.
