The iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in the 1955 movie “The Seven Year Itch” fetched $4.6 million at an auction!!
The William Travilla dress is famously featured in the subway scene from Billy Wilder’s 1955 classic The Seven-Year Itch, in which Monroe steps onto a sidewalk grate and the draft from a passing subway train blows up the hem of the flowy, pleated skirt.
An anonymous buyer won the bidding on the memorable dress, which soared over its pre-sale estimate of $1 million to $2 million US.
