It was 12 years ago today that the legendary Roger Troutman was shot and killed by his brother Larry. The frontman for ‘Zapp’ and ‘The Human Body’, Roger was well-known for his use of the vocoder. A synthesizer that transformed the users voice into a Robotic tone. In the 80′s…Roger Troutman And Zapp were a hit machine. Not only was Roger the voice, he was also the driving creative force. He was a master showman, a tremendous musician, and one hell of an entertainer. He is missed.
Roger Troutman was indeed a gifted musical natural born genius designed and created by God. He was also a fine good looking man. His character fit his spirit, a.d truly he made his mark in the world. It is sad that his life was cut short. His music is a part of our lives; and he is missed. To his remaining family, stay strong, and keep God in your life.
