Love is a Battlefield…

Written by on March 12, 2010

Hello Everyone,

I am the newcomer to the Urban Mogul-Life family, and I have a question:  Is it acceptable to allow your mate (spouse or significant other) to have a “best friend” who is the opposite sex?  Would you allow your mate and the “best friend” to seclude themselves from others and you are not included?  What would you do?  Would you “Set It Off” like Jada Pinkett-Smith or would you be a punk *blank* and do nothing?  What are your thoughts about my situation cause I am about to go postal?  Still at war…

I think it depends. My Boo has a female best friend and I feel comfortable with their interactions because he always makes sure she understands that I am his woman and she is not and never will be. It also helps that she is unattractive. So for your situation it depends on how your mate handles the situation. If your mate is being secretive I think you should address it directly so he/she can really think critically about your relationship and the relationship with the best friend. You have to talk about it otherwise it will fester and blow up big time down the line, which is not good for healthy relationship.

    Good luck.

What ya think??
