Lupe Fiasco – Enemy of the State Review

Lupe is back like cooked crack!!! All pure unadulterated crack!  After taking time of after his last album, Lupe comes back on some ‘Its been a long time/ I shouldn’t have left you’ @!#%. This has to be the best 22 minutes ever recorded in the history of man-kind. I know I am gassing this up, but I mean damn!?!?! Is this cat real?

On Enemy of the State: A Love Story, Lupe gets it in over familiar tracks from Radiohead, to The Clipse. He puts so many lines in these 22 minutes of spit, that it seems like not a word is wasted. As some rappers take a bar or two of to set you up for the next one, Lupe takes advantage of every word that he uses and makes the listener listen!

The game was looking weak, the whole scene starved

Lupe Fiasco – The One

Lupe packs more flow in one verse than some cats have done their whole career. In some songs he reminds rappers just how ill he is; while on other songs he paints pictures so vivid you feel as though you are watching it play out on tv. On the remix to Dirty Money’s Angel Lupe speaks of his female traveling companion as an Angel that turned bad during the trip to Pleasure.Once he realizes it is all bad he raps:

And it doesn’t stop there, I promise you. Lupe is on some diarrhea s@#t ‘write’ now! Stupid! Lupe sounds confident as ever as he spits fire on track after track. In times where real rap is hard to find or the good rap gets commercialed out, Lupe gives us rap heads the dosage that we need to continue on our daily routes.
