Ok This Blackface Trend Is Getting Out Of Hand!!!!

Ok when is enough, enough. First we had “The Jackson Jive” nonsense. Now top fashion magazine French “Vogue” decides to put model Lara Stone in blackface in their latest issue. Is this the minstrel show revisited? Everyone knows the history and feelings associated with putting the “blackface” on in attempts to entertain. The history of minstrel shows aren’t as prevalent in other countries as it is in the US, but at some point alarms should have rung!

This latest poor attempt at humor has lit a flame of outrage across the web and fashion world. Many people are debating if the issue’s aim was racist or not, but  the consensus  seems to be that it tactless to say the least.  To make matters worse no Black models were featured in the article. So instead of getting the real deal, we just go ahead and paint one?
